Indian TV celebrity Sanjeev Kapoor bringing his ‘Signature’ super fine dining restaurant concept for food fans in Abu Dhabi.
The renowned Indian master chef Sanjeev Kapoor who has been satisfying his Abu Dhabi food fans through television shows plans to cook for them directly. He plans to open his Signature restaurant before the Gourmet Abu Dhabi festival in February. His signature restaurant is already functioning at UAE. Options at Dubai World Trade Centre, the Melia Hotel in Burj Dubai, and Khana Kazana at Al Nasr Leisure land.
During his visit for F1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix where he was hosted by Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority, the super chef declared: “This will be the only Indian restaurant in this particular area of Nations Tower and I hope to have it open in time for the Gourmet Abu Dhabi festival in February,” With the view of attracting tourists and residents alike, Mr. Kapoor plans to serve the authentic Indian and signature dishes. Large number of Abu Dhabi residents travels to Dubai every week to visit Mr. Kapoor restaurant at Dubai. Sanjeev Kapoor is a renowned Indian chef and an entrepreneur. He is the star of the Khana Khazana television food program. Khana Khazana is the longest running culinary shown in Asia. The show has got more than 500 viewers broadcasting in and around 120 countries. In January 2011 Mr. Kapoor launched a Food Channel also.
Mr. Kapoor was born in Haryana, but most of his childhood was spend in Delhi. He took a Diploma in Hotel Management from the Institute of Hotel Management (IHM) Pusa, Catering Technology & Applied Nutrition and started his profession in the year 1984. Mr. Kapoor is a great fan of Mr. Shashi Kumar and was inspired by his Badmera’s recipes. According to Mr. Kapoor Abu Dhabi’s largest overseas source market for hotel guests is Indian travelers. This year around 15, 000 stayed in Emirates Hotel. This shows an increase of 31% over last year’s account. He is planning to be a part of annual Gourmet Abu Dhabi culinary festival. The festival starts from February 4th and continues till February 19th. In his words” I certainly would love to be a part of the festival which has made quite a name for itself on the international culinary circuit”
To him food is identical with entertainment and educational. Usually people meet and bond over food the world over. He is planning to explore more culinary traditions of the Emirate at the Abu Dhabi festival.
